whether or not cysts are dangerous depends on the kind of cyst. There are several different kinds. The good news is, most of them are not. An ultrasound will give you a better idea if its a complex or simple cyst. The simple ones being mostly harmless and go away on there own. I have had surgery 3 times to remove 4 different cysts and I just had an ultrasound yesterday that showed a 5.5cm chocolate/complex cyst. Most of the time if they have to be surgically removed there is little to no damage to the ovary. If God forbid it where to be damaged or had to be removed, the good ovary is still perfectly capable of helping make a baby. Google ovarian cysts and you will get more information than you know what to do with. Good luck and if you feel like I do, I truly feel for you. If you want anymore information from me, post something and I’d be happy to help. I forgot to mention that beside the ones I’ve had surgically removed, I’ve had approximately 22 either rupture or go away on there own
