Are Online Classes Taught by Real Professors?

That depends on what you mean by the term “real professor.” If you define that as being someone who has completed a higher degree and is qualified to teach at the higher education level, then yes, your courses will be taught be a real professor. But if you mean someone who has completed a doctorate degree, does research at the college level and is a well-known name in the field, then the answer changes to maybe or most of the time. Online teachers aren’t always professors in the traditional sense. Online instructors aren’t always the same as professors at traditional colleges. Some will have only a master’s degree (which does qualify them to teach higher education and in some fields may be the highest degree available) and all we be certified to teach by that college and a state’s guidelines on higher education. Others will act more as facilitators and won’t lecture but will simply be there to answer questions and help students through material at their own pace. Others may be experts
