Getting control of a flea infestation is extremely important, but the safety of the pets is more important. While spot on flea medications are considered safe for dogs, they are not safe for cats. It’s recommended that they not even be used in homes where there may be cats as the insecticides in these medications could adversely affect or even kill cats.
