Are Omega 3 Enriched Foods Worth it?
As the popularity of omega 3 has exploded, more and more stores are touting their omega 3 enriched foods as a way to get more omega 3 fatty acids in your diet. Omega 3 is an essential nutrient, which means that your body needs it to function correctly but cannot manufacture it from other vitamins, minerals or compounds that are in the body. As a result, most people have a chronic shortage of omega 3 in their diets and in their bodies for their entire lives, which can lead to migraine headaches, short attention spans, cardiovascular complications and even senile dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Obviously something needs to be done to boost your omega 3 levels, and right away!
