Are old fashioned gender myths the reason that people find gender symmetry or female dominance in abuse?
If you look at SleepSpell’s answer, i think she, whether she realises it or not, has nailed the real problem. She’s right, women have been told these things about men without anything of any substance to support it. If we were to listen to women, we would think that men are monsters. Remember the old chant at school?? Boys are made of slime and snails and puppy dogs tails. While girls are made of sugar and spice and all things nice<--- As you can see, girls are taught from such a young age that boys are people to stay away from. Boys are taught that they grow up to be some kind of bad person....We are taught this kind of animosity towards boys from the age of 4 onwards. But if we were to listen to facts, we would know that in most cases, the opposite is true. Another thing we should consider. Is that i can confidently say that i have never met ONE man who has said something along the lines of "All women are chauvinist pigs, they're liars, cheaters and they only want one thing"<--- But
