Are nude male models for art classes more difficult to come by compared to nude female models?
In my part of the world (North Jersey) it’s the exact opposite there are more males looking for work as nude models than there are females. If you look at craigslist/artist models for NJ you’ll see almost all the adds for models say females only. One of the colleges where I pose might only have a female model pose 5 or 6 times per class per semester most times students find a male model not because they prefer males but because there are no females available. Males if successful at nude posing will continue working as models for years and years. Example: I’ve been a figure model for 12 years and I know many others like myself with years of experience, while most females will only pose for a couple of years then move on to other things. This means the talent pool for male models grows as new people enter the modeling field while the female pool either remains the same or shrinks year to year.
