Are nuclear weapons still a threat? Why or why not?

Of course nuclear weapons are a threat and of course they aren’t always on the top of most Americans’ minds. To constantly ponder the destruction of the world sixfold leads to nothing but paranoia. Currently, the entire world has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the earth six times. On that note, nuclear weapons are indeed a great threat. No matter how many nuclear weapons are reduced, there will always still be enough to wipe out the entire surface of the planet. Nuclear reduction does nothing but discard the old bombs to make room for new weaponary. It may be sad but true. All it takes is a single button to launch utter destruction down onto a nation, and those buttons are in the hands of wrong people.

Nukes will always be a threat to someone at some time simply because they are very useful and effective in doing what they do best and unlike bio-weapons are very controllable of course I prefer keeping them in our hands rather than someone else’s since we have a measure of self restraint and control that others would not excersize simply because of their beliefs, of course IF they would keep it to them selves and only involve themselves without pulling us into their crusading (pick you own beliefs for that one) it would be fine BUT that is not what would happens since their idea’s of choices and ours differ greatly since there is only 2 choices with the children of good and evil always has been and always will be …..
