Yes, if you want them to be. Firstly set the TV System Select switch on the rear of the player to PAL. Then in the Setup Menu turn Pseudo PAL either On or Off. Pseudo PAL On, produces PAL60 which gives the best conversion but is only compatible with modern TVs and cannot be recorded onto VHS. Pseudo PAL Off, produces PAL50 which is compatible with all PAL TVs and can be recorded onto VHS (however titles may be copy protected by Macrovision). If you have a multi-system TV then you can set the TV System Select switch to AUTO. In this mode NTSC titles will be output as NTSC and PAL titles with be output as PAL.
