Are NRC licensee facilities required to report DOE-owned material?

0

A. NUREG/BR-0006 and –0007 provide the NRC reporting instructions for special nuclear material (plutonium, enriched uranium, and U-233) and source material (natural uranium, depleted uranium, and thorium) which apply to NRC and Agreement State licensed facilities. The NUREGs also guide licensees to DOE reporting instructions which may stipulate DOE’s reporting requirements to NMMSS for a variety of DOE or Government-owned/leased materials.
