Are nominees eligible if they are currently volunteering?
Yes, a young adult may be nominated while they are currently performing their service assignments. However, we place a significant emphasis on having the new colleague connect with their cohort and Foundation community at the Memorial Day Weekend Conference (late May). We are currently unable to fly back international volunteers for the Conference. While their absence does not disqualify them, it can put them at a disadvantage when weighed with an equally qualified candidate who is able to attend.
