Yep. If you’ve got a UK console, then only UK (and Europe) games will work on it. There was a separate disc called ‘freeloader’ which you could use to effectively make it region free to play any region game on it, without having to alter your console in any way. But thanks to Nintendos latest Wii update this week, it doesn’t work any more.
