Are neck tattoos unprofessional?

0

A lot of places don’t allow visible tattoos, and they have that right. Employers can discriminate against tattoos, it is a personal choice, not something you are born with. The ACLU won’t even entertain the thought of representing people with visible tattoos, unless they are from a different culture where the tattoos represent a cultural standard. Many people are fired because they get visible tattoos after being hired, and the company has a dress code against visible tattoos. Many people are denied employment on those grounds, and there is nothing you can do about it. Companies have that right. It’s best not to do it. I’m a very heavily covered tattoo artist, but refuse to tattoo certain parts of my body, the neck one of those areas. I have a shop in Cleveland, and we have a policy against neck and facial tattoos, it’s an extreme we don’t want in our shop. You have a lot to think about, and it’s good that you’re asking and thinking ahead. Best wishes.
