Are Muslim Women Oppressed?
No we are not oppressed but rather liberated! This can easily be resolved had they spoken to Muslim women and found quite the opposite picture. Many women who enjoyed wearing the veil have actually been forced to remove it, either due to legislation (such as Belgium and France) or due to racism and Islamaphobia. To force a woman to remove her veil because she was not forced to wear is oppression in itself. We are just like any other woman enjoying life and its wonders, receiving an education, going shopping, going out with friends etc.
