Are Motorized Skylight Shades Expensive to Maintain?
Motorized skylight shades are generally not very expensive to maintain. When it comes to keeping them powered, you will simply have to replace a battery in the battery pack, and occasionally another in the remote control. How often you replace these batteries will have to do with how frequently you open and close the shades. You will also have to use a vacuum cleaner attachment to clean the shades from time to time. If the shade is low enough, you may be able to use a duster or a dust broom to wipe down the skylight shades.
