Are most Christian youth groups today biblical or a joke?
Most are definitely a joke. Alot of youth group leaders are wolves in sheeps clothing and parents are oblivious to it. I don’t think Jesus was in a “youth group”. At the age of twelve He was teaching in the temple. I think this is to be an example for us and demonstrates that twelve year old young men should have enough knowledge at this age to teach. But our culture dismisses the teen years as a time to “just have fun” and further hinders their spiritual growth and maturity by saying “they’re just kids”. Most twelve year olds I know can’t even say the books of the Bible. Parents need to be the ones teaching their children, but instead most depend on the church to do it. It’s NOT THE CHURCH’S JOB, it’s the PARENTS’ JOB! I teach Sunday School classes for 2 and 3 year olds and I bet they know more than the average teenager! And it’s not because of what I do in class, it is what the parents are doing at home the other 6 days of the week. Sunday School is just a SUPPLEMENT. Also, I do not
