Are Mormons allowed to drink alcohol?
Are Mormons allowed to drink alcohol? Allowed by whom? If they choose to drink alcohol, they will one day answer to the Lord. The Church does not have an alcohol police, checking every bar, or saloon, or nightclub, etc where alcohol is sold or available. But when they come in for a Temple Recommend Interview they will be ask if they keep the Word of Wisdom. Their answer whether, yes or no, will be recorded in heaven and they will have to face the Lord himself for his approval, to enter heaven. However if they answer no, the Bishop is bound to inquire as to what extent the Word of wisdom is not kept. A no answer does not always mean alcohol. But the Bishop is a Judge in Israel and has the right and authority to approve or disapprove a Temple Recommend, for whatever he feels is right.
