Are more wind turbines the answer to energy problems?

0

Not only do wind turbines spoil the countryside, but they are an extremely unreliable source of power – the wind isn’t always blowing. The Morecambe Bay barrage, as many will know, was much talked about in the mid 60’s. At that time I recall it was more about being an additional fresh water supply than anything else. Nowadays when we are looking for greener energy, the MB barrage would relably provide this – along with quicker travelling times to the Barrow area and the added bonus of one large freshwater lake that would promote tourism for the whole of Morecambe Bay. I can’t recall the amount of times people have said we visited Morecambe, Grange, Arnside etc but sadly the tide was out. There’d be no more of that. Build the barrage!
