Are more people brewing their own beer these days because of price or quality?
Both! Since I always considered myself a beer Connoisseur, I started brewing beer 15 years ago to try to create something as good as or better than what was available at the supermarket. After my first try, (which was a prepackaged beer kit with canned malt extract, hop pellets and instructions), I was hooked. What I made, was so much better than the commercial beers and equal to, or maybe better, than some of the micro brews, I had to try it again and again…To this day, I still brew my own beer because of the quality. However, I noticed immediately, that the cost of brewing my own beer was approximately half of the cost of micro-brew. So…how can you beat that? Great beer…great price…they both go hand in hand to tempt people to home-brew. I must admit, however,…some of the beers that I create are extremely expensive to make and cost more than the average micro-beer…but, overall, home brewing your own beer is less expensive than store-bought and way better, as long as you fo
