Are Monroe County Democrats Putting People On Committees Without Their Consent or Knowledge?
OK here’s the deal – Ms. Stephens was definately a member of the Greece Dem. Committee there is no question about that in my mind as she was quoted by a news source who said that she was and she never denied it. Back in 2003 when I lived in Greece I attended a meeting of the GDC for something that had to do w/ Fred Amato and the Leg. they met in the Fire Station on Latta and Ms. Stephens was there and she seemed to me to be a very active (and moody) member of the committee. 2nd, I don’t usually stick up for politicos too often but as far as local board of elections go we here in Monroe County fair better than many others in that both our commissoners strive to be accurate in what they do. 3rd – anyone familiar with the process one must go through to become a committee member knows that you have to collect petitions of at least 5% of the registered voters from your party in your election district in order to be placed on the committee – afterwhich (assuming there is space in your ED and
