Are monkeys good pets?
Monkeys are a wild animal that was never meant to be domesticated. Monkey’s are also very social creatures and live in groups their entire lives,so unless you plan on getting more than one you or are willing to give up any resemblance of a life including work/school, friends, family and so on you will not meet it’s needs for social interaction. In most countries it is illegal to own chimps, monkey’s and other animals of this kind, so finding a vet would be impossible because the first thing that he/she would do would be to report you to the police, so then you would also not me meeting it’s medical need. Monkey’s also are known for having mental health issues when held in captivity so the possibility of your cute little pet becoming dangerous to you and everyone else is also there as well as the possibility the poor thing will start abusing itself as an outward sign of what it is feeling and thinking, but can’t verbalize.
