Are microwaves, TVs, stereos, etc. allowed?
Yes! All electrical equipment must have an approved “UL” rating. Appliances or equipment (e.g., ceiling fans) may never be directly wired to a residence hall. Space heaters, cooking appliances with an open heating element are not allowed in the residence halls. Cooking in student rooms is prohibited for fire safety and ventilation reasons. Microwaves and small fridges are permitted in student rooms.
