Are microwaves and cellular phones a source of cancer?

0

This is a big on going discussion. So far there has been no evidence that microwaves and cellular phones are a source of cancer. (Most of what is in the press confuses ionizing radiation with non-ionizing radiation). However the concern is there, and much activity is being directed at conducting trials. These necessarily involve animal subjects and only slight possible effects. The World Health Organization is sponsoring a major set of trials to provide definitive answers to the health issue question and an answer is due in about two years. For more information see the October 1999 issue of Scientific American.
