Are metal spokes showing at front of teeth necessary on partial denture for bottom teeth?

There are a few alternatives to the metal base partial denture. Depending on how many teeth are missing, you could have a flipper made. They are not good for eating with, so generally people who only have one or two teeth missing get a flipper. There is also whats called a flexible partial denture. However, from what I understand the metal base is the best and most stable partial denture. Sure, implants are always an option, but are very costly and insurance seldom covers any of the cost. When most people smile and talk, the lower teeth rarely show anyway. So, I can understand you being uneasy, but ask someone you trust if they do show and if it looks bad.
