Are men or women better at Professional Networking?

LinkedIn is a professional networking website. I have no way of compiling statistics on this, but it appears to me that there are many more men utilizing LinkedIn than women. Also, it appears to me that, proportionately speaking, women network more with women than with men. In other words, women will have a higher proportion of women in their connections list than men will have women in their list. What are your observations/perceptions/thoughts?
