Are mega churches these days actually hurting more than helping by not telling people about hell?

Absolutely. They also fail to provide the most basic of accountability within the congregation since there is no human capable of keeping up or even knowing that many people, which is the expressed duties of a Pastor to his congregants. Many larger churches have small groups during the week to do this. God’s Word clearly tells us that the world will not accept His truth and will hate those who proclaim it…clearly that contradicts the mega church…therefore, one must question what they are doing wrong to be so largely accepted. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

I believe the doctrine of eternal torment is actually more damaging because it makes many people turn away from Christianity in disgust.
