Not really. My meds do not make me feel tired, slowed down, weird, depressed or negative. They make me feel just the opposite, that’s why I take them. I’m a heavy smoker and a doctor once explained to me why smoking a cigarette may make a person feel “better”. He said, the nicotine withdrawal you feel when you haven’t smoked in awhile CAUSES anxiety or anxiety-like feelings and stress. Those feelings may trigger something similar to a depressed feeling. So, you feel you need to smoke to feel better. It’s the cycle of addiction. Nicotine causes problems, it really doesn’t solve them. I don’t want to smoke. I am addicted. I feel like crap without a cigarette because my body is craving the nicotine. SO I smoke another cigarette to kill the craving. I take meds because I have a mental illness and the meds help with that and somewhat correct my chemical imbalance.
