Are Meat Eating Countries Creating More Green House Gases Than Vegetarian Countries?
I suppose you could argue that because of the vehicles needed to transport meat, and the facilities that are needed to process the animals cause pollution and release green house gases, but what you have to remember is that the plants eaten by vegetarians would have been removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which is a greenhouse gas, so with less plants, carbon dioxide levels will increase (although it will take removal of a lot of plants to be significant). Also, animals such as cows fart out a lot of methane, several gallons a day, and this is a greenhouse gas as well, so removal of these animals should theoretically help the environment and reduce greenhouse gas levels.
