Are Mayet (law) and Apophis (chaos) contradictory concepts (deities) or complimentary?

they are both contradictory and complimentary because while they represent vastly different ideas, one could not exist without the other

They are not contradictory but they are opposing, however they do compliment each other. Without chaos there would be no law, and vice versa.

Law is the cure for chaos. Once chaos is eradicated, law is not longer required. Warlords descend when hell is roused. Once hell is completely annihilated, Warlords return to heaven. They are two opposing polarities, one consequence and cure, therefore neither complimentary nor contradictory.

Mayet comes from Apophis. Apophis is ultimate, nothing can be above Chaos. law is merely our attempt at controlling and delaying the inveitable. and, lik eothers here no doubt, i have to admit i’m biased. i am a follower of the left hand path, a Chaote.

Even Chaos is subject to ceratin “rules”, hence the concept of “Chaos Theory”, which attempts to explain the rules and laws of chaos constructs. They are NOT seperate but rather ALL come under the control of law eventually.
