Are many students granted residency for their second year of study?
It happens for quite a few students who select summer internships in the area after the first year because you’re actually in Maryland for 12 months. If you leave the Maryland area for those three months [of the summer internship] and are paying taxes outside of the state, it becomes more challenging to justify your Maryland residency to the Maryland Residency Classification Office. Mark, there are a number of ways a student can lighten the financial burden attached to earning an MBA degree: Fellowships, financial aid, and assistantships are several. How many students generally garner some type of financial assistance? I would say over 60% of our MBA students have some type of financial aid, whether it be federal financial aid, scholarships, or graduate assistantship positions. That percentage has stayed pretty much constant for the past couple of years.
