Are Madelines Scents made with lead wicks?
There has been a lot of media coverage lately regarding possible health issues relating to candles containing lead wicks, some of which has unfortunately been confusing or misleading. In order to eliminate any concerns or confusion on the part of our consumers, Madeline’s Scents would like to to assure you that we do not use lead wicks in any of our candle products. How can I keep my candles looking their best? Candles will discolor or fade when they are exposed to intense light for long periods of time. Do not display your candles for long periods in direct sunlight, or other strong light. Wax will begin to soften in temperatures over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so store your candles in a cool, dry place. Why do candle wicks sometimes become mushroom shaped? This occurs when a candle is consuming wax more quickly than the flame can burn, carbon deposits may develop.
