Are Macs compatible with Carlson curriculum?

Support The Carlson School models Corporate America, with the standard for faculty, staff and students being the PC/Windows environment. Carlson IT Student Services is unable to service or support Macs. Course compatibilities There are statistical features in Microsoft Office Excel which are not available in the Mac version of Excel, which impacts statistics classes. Wireless printing The University uses a managed computer network application called Microsoft Active Directory (AD), which we use to manage faculty, staff, and student lab machines. AD requires computers be bound to the network domain via AD. There is a component not available on the Mac Operating System for this to happen. However, Macs have the ability to run a virtual instance of Windows XP and 7. If students do this, they could take advantage of wireless printing. Please note: We will NOT assist with setting up this virtual instance.
