I would say no. Only because a lot of programs are not available on Macbooks. If you have a class that uses specific programs that are not available on Macbooks, then you are going to have some trouble. As for getting used to them, it does not take long. I used Windows for my whole life until I purchased a Macbook and it took me less than a month to get used to it. Now when I use a Windows-based computer, I find myself doing things that are only on a Mac. It is quite funny. I love my Macbook and I will never go back permanently to Windows. Also, you can run Windows on a Mac, but then your computer will be prone to viruses.
