Are Mac notebooks much better than Windows notebooks?

When answering this question, I have to compare the software and hardware of both Macs and non-Macs. Hardware – I’ve found that the build quality of a Macintosh is much better than most of the major non-Mac manufacturers (HP, Dell, Gateway, etc). Also, the hardware just looks like a lot of thought and time were put into making it look nice. Other manufacturers focus on looks as an afterthought, which is a mistake. Software – Apple’s OS X is a great operating system, with great support. From my experience, it’s simpler for basic computing tasks such as browsing the internet, checking email, working on documents, and managing music. Windows is also a great operating system, but tends to work better with more complex tasks like writing code, testing code, managing COM ports, and editing deep system settings. Windows allows you to more easily get under the hood of the operating system, while OS X tends to prevent you from delving too deep into it. In the end though, I will still choose a M
