Are lower doses in whole food supplements equal to or better than synthetic megadose formulas?
Other brands might offer higher or megadoses of nutrients but the amount our bodies can absorb without the naturally occurring buffers is questionable. As our bodies have developed digestion and absorption processes that function optimally when fed nutrients in their natural food matrix, it makes sense that nutrients from whole foods will be better absorbed and utilized; thereby requiring lower dosages when supplementing with whole food products.
