• No. At its 04/06/2007 meeting, the Board determined that licensed Mississippi dental hygienists are not allowed to use soft tissue lasers to assist in the treatment of periodontal diseases and other soft tissue disorders under the direct supervision of licensed Mississippi dentists. Refer to Board Regulation 13.
