Are libraries needed anymore?
We definitely still need libraries. The thing about the internet is that while it is a good tool for shopping and quick reference, it can also be highly unreliable. There usually aren’t readers and fact-checkers pouring over online articles and websites because anybody can post anything online. So when it comes right down to it, books are much better for doing research. Also, its really bad for your eyes to stare at a computer screen for prolonged periods of time. And not everyone has a computer. On top of that, not everyone with a computer has internet access.
