Leggings look okay as trousers, if they are worn with a slightly longer top. They look awful if worn with just a short top, or with a skirt / dress – wear footless tights if you want to wear something different to tights with a skirt! I like to wear a grey, loose top which is fitted just under my hipbone, and has long sleeves with my black leggings and a long, black cardigan.
