Are law abiding British people against an illegal immigrant amnesty?
Surely, no decent law-abiding citizen would support this lunacy! Those of us who work are already overburdened with taxes (stealth and otherwise). Our own offspring cannot afford decent houses, despite the fact that most of the older generation have contributed to the economy throughout our working lives. Employment too, is problematic, as the immigrants are impacting on a) the availability of work and b) the rates of pay. I support the view that only those with essential skills and a fluent grasp of the English language should be allowed to settle and work here. I would also limit the number of family members to wife, husband and children and ban the hangers-on who contribute nothing to our nation. Our countryside is fast disappearing beneath new housing initiatives and the ‘baby boom’ generation are sick and tired of having their rights and liberties eroded (including pension rights) to support idle scroungers. Limit benefits for the able bodied (and I include our own, native drones)
