Are LaDainian Tomlinson owners at the point where sitting him is a consideration?
Two weeks into the season and LaDainian Tomlinson has more hurt toes (one) than touchdowns (none). He averaged 2.6 yards per carry at Denver, a team he usually tramples, and has 152 total yards through two games. As far as Fantasy points go, it’s the worst start he’s had in a while. But over the last few seasons, Tomlinson has been a slow starter. In fact, last year he had even fewer total yards (134) in his first two games, but had a rushing and passing touchdown to go with it to make him a little more palatable. And while he’s scored touchdowns early on in the season, Tomlinson has four 100-total-yard games in his last nine September games dating back to the ’05 season. Naturally, Tomlinson’s performances improve as the season rolls on (how else can you explain his incredible stat totals?). Assuming he can get his toe taken care of, Tomlinson should start to play better starting in October, roaring through November and December. If you own Tomlinson, sit tight. Your biggest worry isn
