A. Yes. Inclusion of documents on laboratory experimentation, field investigation, and natural analog studies is required by 10 CFR 63.16 and 10 CFR 63.21. Section 3.5 of the Yucca Mountain Review Plan requires the NRC staff to review DOE’s site characterization work, including specific information needed on the sites geology, hydrology, geochemistry, geotechnical properties of the host rock, climatology, meteorology, environmental systems, and the present condition and future evolution of the reference biosphere.
