Are killer whales seen on every trip?

No, not every trip – but the odds are definitely in your favor. Victoria and the Pacific Northwest is becoming renown globally for reliability in orca sightings (killer whales). If averaged over the entire season from May-October our success has been a staggering 90-95% (species specific – orca). If you calculate sightings without being species specific (that is, you count orca & grays, humpbacks and minke whales) our company’s success is over 98%. This is one of the highest success rates in our industry. Over the past 5 years, humpback whales have been sighted very consistently May through October.
