Are junipers, Arizona cypress, Leyland cypress also at risk?
Yes. These trees are colonized by a different species of bark beetle (Phloeosinus sp.) that utilizes these tree species. The biology and life cycle of this bark beetle is slightly different than the pine bark beetles.
