Are journey’s replacing badges and Try-Its?
No! Although journeys are at the heart of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, they are not replacing other awards. Try-Its, badges and interest projects will continue to help girls learn new skills in camping, science, the arts, nature, health and fitness and so forth. Q: What order should the girls do the journeys in? A: There are no rules. Do them in any order the girls and you want! Daisies who are new to Girl Scouting may want to do Welcome to the Daisy Flower Garden first, and Brownies who are new to Girl Scouting may want to do Brownie Quest first, if they want to learn about Daisy Low and Girl Scout traditions right away. Q: Are the Journeys available in Spanish? A: Yes; all the girl journey handbooks and adult journey guides are available in Spanish.
