Are Jack the Ripper and the Boston Strangler the same person?
No. The murders by Jack the Ripper were commited in 1888 between August and November. The murders were meticulous and surgical. The women targeted were prostitutes and were slit at the throat. The murders by the Boston Strangler spanned from June of 1962 and January 1964, a lifetime later than the Jack the Ripper murders. The victims of the Boston Strangler were mutilated and strangled (people usually strangle face to face to get the devine feeling of having power of life and death over their victim), this indicates a rushed killing and a personal attatchment to the victims, Jack the Ripper took his time and slit their throats from behind and not face to face. The murders of the Boston Strangler were of a sexual nature but the murders by Jack the Ripper were caused by his disgust for their sexual acts, completely different motives.
