If you’re goal is to manage or operating in a IT Service Desk environment, then absolutely. It’s also a Global standard so widely recognised. I would recommend going for ITIL v3 as it’s a newer standard and based around a service ‘lifecycle’ which is more aligned to a project/ change lifecycle now so there are similar concepts involved.
