Irrigation systems are not permitted to be installed unless the water for such system is supplied from a source other than groundwater. Irrigation systems that use sources such as ponds and water cisterns are allowed. Irrigation systems that use groundwater that were existing on February 17, 2010 are permitted to continue and to be maintained, but cannot be expanded.
