Are Internet filters the answer at local libraries?
For many, the Internet is a valuable resource that is free to the public at local libraries, but for parents and policy-makers, it is also capable of disseminating harmful material such as pornography, an issue that is confronting libraries nationwide. It is a challenge that Multnomah County is answering by proposing a new Internet filter policy.
