Are international calls also free on T-mobile at night?
Your free weekends and nights are only for US calls 🙁 T-Mobile, like the rest of the major US cellular carriers, will charge an exorbitant amount for calling internationally unless you subscribe to their discounted international plan for an extra $5/month. Their standard rate to call Scotland (UK) is $1.49/minute and their discounted rate is 6 cents/minute to a landline and 26 cents/minute to a mobile: http://www.t-mobile.com/International/Lo… (The reason calls to mobiles are more expensive is because the caller pays for the airtime instead of like in the US where both incoming and outbound minutes are paid by the cell phone user.) You can make international calls from a cell phone for much less than even the discounted rates by using a calling card or some other form of “dial-around” service. I found rates as low as 1 cent/minute to a landline and 13 cents/minute to a mobile here:
