Are interest rates for savings higher outside the USA?

There are even countries that offer 20 – 30%, but not on your dollar account. The problem is that once you need the money back in dollars, you may find that deflation and the exchange rate has brought you back to how much you would have saved in the US, if you do not altogether loose all your money or cannot access it, because of political upheavals, war, economic debacles etcetera inthose countries. A safer way, if you are ready to take risks, is to place your funds with a securities broker who does internatonal placements and pray for the best. (Please watch the rates as a hawk day by day – Nay, minute by minute -, if you can take the stress.
