Are industry standards in place for xDSL technology?

0

Some industry standards have been established and the ADSL Forum is developing technical guidelines for architecture, interfaces and protocols for telecommunications networks incorporating DSL transceivers. Examples include standards for discrete multi-tones (DMT) and carrier amplitude (CAP). Southwestern Bell participates in and supports various industry forums that develop network standards including the UAWG DSL Lite standard currently under consideration.
